Port Douglas

This weekend I took over 500 photos, and when I tried to cull them to share a few with you I still ended up with way too many for one post. So I am splitting them in two. Today, I am sharing some of the photos of Port Douglas, later in the week I shall share with you the photos from Mossman Gorge and Wonga Beach.

Port Douglas is gorgeous, everyone should go there at least once in their life, if only for the Gelati from the Gelati Bar! So good we went twice. Plus, it is very disconcerting for this southerner how flat the ocean is - there is no swell, anywhere.

Tim and I went sailing on Saturday evening, to welcome in the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous and the we had the best fun - drinking champagne and sailing with a bunch of other really friendly people.

Every Sunday Port Douglas holds a market, if you do go make sure you have a look at Rare Bags- Recycle and Reuse Everything - they have the most amazing satchels with wonderful truths on them. The hippie in me was in heaven.

So, I hope you stick around for part two of this saga. I am seriously enjoying living in Cairns, the beauty up here is astounding!

Ever been to Port Douglas? I know a friend of mine got married there, good choice I think! xx
